Approximately twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast found themselves lacking electricity on the start of the week after intense storm systems passed over the region, producing wind gusts hitting 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Impact
Homeowners reported substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in some areas. Weather authorities announced that various areas across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.
